Disintegration — Original Photograph on Metal by Adam John Templeman | @009cents
Disintegration
The crescent is small, but the field around it takes over. A band of light breaks across the dark and loosens into granular scatter at its edge. The image holds its shape just long enough to be read, then begins to come apart.
Disintegration is Adam John Templeman’s original photographic artwork, made from an image in his own archive. From across the room, the crescent gives the eye a point of orientation. Up close, the field resolves into flecks, grain, and a changing boundary between darkness and light. The close-up images show the moon, the granular transition, and the bright field in detail.
The physical work
- Adam John Templeman’s original photographic artwork
- Glossy aluminum print with a rear MDF floating frame
- Custom printed to order by Printful, Adam’s production partner
- Physical artwork; not a stock image or digital download
Adam created the image. Printful prints and produces the physical piece to order. It is not hand-printed or hand-fabricated by the artist. The glossy aluminum surface brings out the contrast and fine texture of the photograph.
